THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY ORGANISED A WEBINAR ON 18 DECEMBER 2020

BETWEEN 10AM TO 1:30PM THROUGH GOGGLE MEET PLATFORM .

PURPOSE OF WEBINAR :  To introduce students With basic chemistry knowledge & To motivate them to pursue research in chemistry .Chemistry is the central science that can be related to all other fields of science & Technologies. Chemists are driven to understand the fundamental behavior of matter in terms of its properties & behavior. Chemistry play an important role towards the development & growth of industries  so it is necessary to understand some modern chemistry topics to all students.

The welcome & objectives of the webinar was given by the Dr.P. Shivaswaroop, Regional director of IGNOU Nagpur. Introduction of DR. Suvarn Kulkarni given by Prof. Sandip Petare, NACSC WARDHA.  DR SUVARN KULKARNI IIT MUMBAI Delivered  the lecture on “”BASIC PRINCIPLES OF STEREOCHEMISTRY”” From 10:15 to 11:15 In which he had spoken about C2V,C3V,C2h  
Points Groups &Elements of Symmetry, Conformational Isomerism etc . From   11:15 to 11:25   open session for Students was held. In which  students asked  various questions & Kulkarni sir clear the doubts. Students had  given the good response & the session was carried out successfully. 

At 11:25 Introduction of Second guest speaker. DEEPA KHUSHLANI BY Abhay  Salunke, SGMAS COLLEGE, KURKHEDA.  Prof. DEEPA KHUSHLANI  TIFR MUMBAI Had delivered  the lecture on “”WHAT EXACTLY ARE NANO MATERIALS  AND WHY ARE THEY IMPORTANT –REALITY VS HYPE”’. after that open session for students Was held From 12:00 to 12:10pm.

 Introduction of Third & last Guest speaker Prof. D.V. Prabhu given by DR. Shubhajit Haldar, Hislop college, Nagpur. Prof D.V.Prabhu ,WILSON COLLEGE MUMBAI Had conducted the session   on “”BASICS OF CATALYSIS & GREEN CHEMISTRY”” . After that Question & Answer  session for students  Between 1:00 -1:10 .
