celebrated Wildlife Week from 1st to 7th October 2024 with great
enthusiasm. The week-long celebration aimed to raise awareness about wildlife
conservation and promote environmental sustainability among students and the
community.
A significant event during the week was a rally
organized on campus, featuring various cultural and environmental elements. The
rally showcased:
- An Adivasi
Pathak (tribal group) representing indigenous traditions.
- Lazim
troops, displaying traditional Marathi folk dance.
- Students
highlighting the rich diversity of India through costumes and
placards.
- A
symbolic palki (palanquin) carrying a tree, emphasizing the
need for tree plantation and forest conservation.
The rally was a vibrant display of culture and
environmental awareness, promoting the message of wildlife protection and the
preservation of natural habitats.
The event was graced by the presence of distinguished
guests, including Dr. R.G. Bhoyar sir, Principal Dr. Ashish Sasankar
sir, and Dr. Abhijit Virulkar sir, along with faculty members and
students from various departments.
The participation of students and faculty members made
the event a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on the community's
understanding of wildlife conservation and the importance of protecting
