Report on Mahaparinirvan Day Celebration

Mahaparinirvan Din, observed annually on December 6th, commemorates the death anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution. This significant day was solemnly celebrated at Indraprastha New Arts, Commerce, and Science College with great reverence and dedication.

The event was graced by the presence of HOD Bharti Yerne Ma’am, Neval Sir, and other esteemed staff members of the college.

The program commenced with a floral tribute to the statue of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, symbolizing respect for his invaluable contributions to Indian society. This was followed by a brief introductory speech by the event coordinator, highlighting the importance of Dr. Ambedkar’s teachings and his relentless fight for social equality and justice.

Bharti Yerne Ma’am, the Head of Department, delivered an insightful address emphasizing Dr. Ambedkar’s vision for an inclusive India and the importance of adhering to constitutional values in our daily lives. Neval Sir also shared his thoughts, inspiring the audience to uphold the principles of equality, liberty, and fraternity as laid down by Dr. Ambedkar.

The event included a series of engaging activities:

1.     Speech Competition: Students passionately expressed their views on Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy.

2.     Quiz Competition: Focusing on the life and works of Dr. Ambedkar, which saw active participation from students.

3.     Cultural Performances: Students performed songs and skits highlighting social reform and unity, embodying the spirit of Dr. Ambedkar’s teachings.

Faculty members, staff, and students participated enthusiastically, making the event a memorable one. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, and organizers for their efforts in making the event successful.

Mahaparinirvan Din reminded everyone of the ongoing need to work toward equality and social justice in line with Dr. Ambedkar’s vision for India.
